What is the best time to go to the Scarborough Fair? ›

Without question the best time to arrive is as close to our 10am opening as possible. There is even a pre-opening show at the village gates beginning at 9:45 am. There is a lot to see in a day (or even two).

Is the Faire “cash only”? Our box office happily accepts Visa, Mastercard, and American Express to purchase your admission tickets. Our box office does NOT accept debit cards or Discover. Our food and drink booths are cash only.

Dress for a family friendly environment and with consideration of the weather for an outdoor event. We do admit costumes to add to the overall atmosphere of the Festival. Renaissance clothing is also available for rent or purchase from the fine clothiers at the Festival.

The festival is 35 acres (140,000 m²) site. There are over 20 stages with more than 200 performances. Three full combat jousting shows take place each day. There are about 100 cast members that make up the characters at Scarborough Renaissance Festival.
